I’ve long admired Hollaback, a movement dedicated to ending street harassment through the use of mobile technology. They encourage victims of street harassment to share their stories (and pictures ) to raise awareness about this specific problem. Through doing this, we are creating a world where we are all safe and comfortable in our environments.
However, taking a picture of someone and sharing your story takes a lot of courage and you may not be in a situation where you can take a photo of that person. This was the situation that I found myself in last week when I went to the grocery story (Kowalski’s in Woodbury). As a result, I decided to write a comic about it.
With this background in mind, I hope you enjoy “Do you Hollaback?”
