I’m the author of “The Life and Times of Rebecca Walker”, a short story about a young woman with a bright future and a dark past. In addition to working on fictional stories I am also a freelance writer writing dominantly about my college experience and how to cope with difficult situations.
The majority of my college experience comes from my time at Mesabi Range Community & Technical College and Inver Hills Community College. I am currently a student at Metropolitan State University where I am pursuing a B.A. in Gender Studies. I’ve done a lot of research on grassroots organizing, rape culture, and media representations of women. This summer (2012) I will be doing a research project on the history of birth in the United States.

It does appear to be so! It’s nice to know that we aren’t alone and have fellow creative people among us, especially in Minnesota. It just makes it that much more awesome.
